Project overview
The client needed to spot companies gaining attention across independent financial and technology sources. Here, stock monitoring meant following company names, tickers, and emerging narratives. The brief explicitly excluded stock-price and market-data feeds.
The challenge
The requested system monitored about ten predefined sources, preferred RSS or legitimate APIs, and needed to distinguish independent coverage from syndicated duplicates. The brief called for detecting companies mentioned by at least three independent sources within a 24–48-hour window and tracking whether mentions were accelerating over several days.
Our solution
Built to the supplied monitoring specification. Its workflow brings source content into company and ticker matching, tracks source provenance, groups mentions into themes, and produces a daily summary. The brief identified themes such as AI infrastructure, robotics, cybersecurity, quantum computing, and defense technology; reports were to include mention counts, sources, themes, and a short AI-generated narrative summary.
The results
The completed-contract review says the project followed the client's specific profile and went beyond it. This case documents the requested workflow and client-reported delivery outcome; the three-source threshold is a requirement, not a measured financial result or an investment recommendation.
